Have you been hearing about the city’s proposal to transform some of the city’s schools into “community schools”*?

Do you have views on “community schools” that you would like other city residents and educational advocates to know about?

If so, please participate in our Philadelphia Community School Study (PCCS).

There are two components to the study, a survey and interviews.

PCCS Survey

This survey is conducted by Swarthmore College in partnership with the Philadelphia Community School Task Force. Through the survey we want to hear what you think about community schools, what questions you might have, and what impact a community school approach would have on public education in Philadelphia .

The survey is available both online or on paper.

PCCS Interview

We are also interviewing people who have some familiarity with, interest, or working knowledge of the implementation of the community school strategy in Philadelphia. Interviews would last approximately one hour, where we would ask questions about the relationships between the schools and communities as it pertains to your point of view, your opinions about the community school strategy, as well as other topics related to education.
